Bad news out of the Gamecocks practice yesterday, reserve running back
Eric Baker hurt his knee in practice Thursday and it looks like he will need surgery. Rumored to be a ACL issue or at very least significant ligament damage. Spurrier seems to think surgery will be required and that would likely cost Baker his 2010 season.

here - he just got buried in the depth chart. He was rumored to be thinking about a transfer and if that is true this certainly does not help that issue. Eric is a sophomore and does have a redshirt year available. LOHD hopes he bounces back very soon!
