Smelley to Start

Chris Smelley will start at quarterback against second-ranked Georgia but the question is 'how long he will stay under center?' Seems redshirt freshman Stephen "golden boy" Garcia may see some time.
Thoughts? I think Smelley is on a short string for the game...one INT and he gets pulled.

Awwww yeah.

It was only a matter of time. The backup quarterback is always the most popular player on a losing team.

But I don't think one INT pulls the rip cord. SOS knows not every interception is the QB's fault.

If he plays scared we got to get him out... I like old Garcia because he reminds me of a young Jr... Fearless, drunk & stupid and invincible! this is everything you need in a bad ars qb.... we all know nice guys (Smelley) finish last... besides Smelley plays better off the bench... sit him out for a couple of series let him sutdy then throw him back in there

'The backup qb is always the most popular player.'

While this may be true at times, this is a legit issue right now.

We're not debating Jenkins/Pinkins right now. We're talking about one of our most heralded quarterbacks ever riding the pine.

The offensive woes are a festering wound. I'm appreciative in J.Cook stepping up his game, but unfortunately he still suffers from his claim to fame from a certain Thursday night Auburn game.
