USC player charged

From AP reports --- Police say University of South Carolina receiver Dion Lecorn was charged with simple possession of marijuana. LeCorn, 19, was arrested Sunday evening around 9 p.m. in a parking lot at Riverside Estates Apartments in Cayce. Authorities say LeCorn, 19-year-old USC wide receiver Matthew Clements, and another man, 18-year-old John Casselberry, were detained after authorities responded to a call of loud music from their car. Officers say they smelled marijuana inside. Investigators say LeCorn told them he had purchased the marijuana from an individual at the Five Points Food Lion. LeCorn was the one driving the vehicle. Officers say the men admitted to using marijuana.

According to the police report, Clements is wanted by authorities in Florida for a failure to appear bench warrant. He will not be extradited to Florida, neither he nor Castleberry were charged in Sunday night's incident. LeCorn was released on a public recognizance bond. USC Athletics Department Spokesperson Steve Fink school policy is that athletes are suspended following an arrest.

So what kind of punishment should they get? I mean look at what UT did with Sunday's arrest, for the fifth alcohol-related incident, involving Colquitt.
