LOHD List of Possible Basketball Coach's to Replace Odom

Here is a list of possible coach's that Eric Hyman, AD of South Carolina, could go after. LOHD is assuming a "all star" coach would not quit his day job to come to Carolina to re-build the program (like a Rick Pitno, Billy Donovan, etc nor a NBA coach would come).

So with that in mind the LOHD staff has compiled a list of possilbe targets that could take over and do a better job that Dave-y Odom.

Here goes:

  • Brian Gregory (Dayton)
  • Bob McKillop (Davidson)
  • Dave Rose (BYU)
  • Travis Ford (UMass)
  • Scott Drew (Baylor)
  • Jim Baron (Rhode Island)
  • Randy Bennett (St. Mary's)
  • Stan Heath (USF)
  • Scott Sutton (Oral Roberts)
  • Bobby Lutz (UNC-C)
  • Darrin Horn (WKU)
  • Dave Wojcik (Tulsa)
  • Sean Miller (Xavier)
  • Alex English (Toronto Asst)
  • Anthony Grant (VCU)
  • Greg Marshall (Wichita St.)
  • Chris Lowery (Southern Illinois)
  • Donnie Jones (UF assistant)
  • Kevin Stallings (Vandy)
  • Andy Kennedy (Ole Miss)
  • Tubby Smith (Minn)
  • Jeff Capel (Okl)
  • Dave Dickerson (Tulane)
  • Frank Haith (Miami)
  • Johnny Dawkins (DUKE Asst)
  • Steve Robinson (UNC Asst)

Are we missing anyone that could be a good fit at USC?

Any of the above names you like or anyone in the above list a "no way jose" for USC?

going to go ahead and say vandy & ole' miss's coachs wouldn't want to leave there programs for ours. Both have promising seasons and neither has achieved a whole lot so far at there school, save a few trips to the sweet 16 which is better than us.

JR says in our dreams i see greg Marshall. i mean seriously this guy was money at Winthrop, knows the area coaches, and is a proven winner! which gives us a WTF is Hyman thinking? Fire Odom, and hire Greg, seriosly this is about as easy as it was back in the day when we landed spurrier? its a total no brainer!

I am still a strong believe that Hyman will go after Anthony Grant or Stan Heath, to get on the minority coaching hire bandwagon. I guess you could say, they are keeping up with the Jones’s.

John Doe has a good eye. There were two on the list by the name of Anthony Grant but the guy we were suppose to put up from UF is Donnie Jones. So we made the change today. And yes Anon is right Anthony Grant is african american and is at VCU.

no way Kennedy leaves Oxford. At this point in time, it would be hard to even justify it as a lateral move.

What about a top asst. from a big school like Duke or UNC or something? I really do not think we need to hire some old guy again. We need someone younger who can relate to the kids.
