- USC begin their 75th year of competition at Willy B this Saturday. It is the 2nd all-time meeting between the schools; SC won the '06 meeting 45-6.
- Only 6 times in school history has the home opener been the 3rd game of the season. In those previous years, the Gamecocks are 2-1-3 in their 1st game in Columbia.
- The Gamecocks are 6-0 all-time vs opponents from the Sun Belt Conference.
- South Carolina lists 22 players from the state of Florida, more than any other state outside SC.
