IT is go time

Well kids it is time for our annual trip to Tomtom’s lake house. The weekend will consist of drinking (of course) boating, fishing and my favorite wiffle ball. In the past I have had some bad luck on the day we return from the lake, like last year when I was floating in the water and drinking beer. As always we throw are empty cans on the shore line for easy clean up later in the day. Well dev and I had made a pretty nice beeramid on the beach and were trying knock it down with each beer we finished. Well as I went to riffle one off to the shore, my index finger slipped in to the mouth of the beer cutting the tip of my finger pretty severely. It kind of freaked me out for a little bit until I listed to my dentist dev, who told me to keep drinking. He said it will make the pain go away, well my future wife got pretty upset at the idea of this, he little to my knowledge beer thins out your blood. Thinks again, dev for trying to kill me, I figured it wasn’t the first and won’t be the last.

Another horror story from the lake is a couple years ago, while driving back form the lake, Cashwell decided that it would be better to take I-95 down to Florence and then I-20 back to Columbia. Well while driving back Cashwell’s jeep Cherokee catches on fire and burns to the ground. I am talking tires and all are melted to the side of the road like a grilled cheese sandwich.

The final story I will tell is when Gray and Oldman killed my girlfriends dog while I was at the lake. We are still unclear about how it happened but the dog defiantly died that weekend which pretty much put a damper on that relationship. Enough said, so those of you that read the blog please say a little prayer that I survive this weekend. There have been a couple close calls in the past but I am pretty sure I will make it back.

Have a good weekend.

Several things to discuss....

Today, we will cover a few random thoughts. First, last night in Franklin, NC there was a earthquake. may say...... but this is the seventh noticeable temblor to shake the region in the past year. There were no reports of damage in the 3.1-magnitude quake, centered 28 miles north of Franklin and felt from Maggie Valley to Bryson City to Cashiers just before 9 p.m. The town of Franklin is only about 2 hours away from Upstate SC. And I am happy to report that I felt nothing here in upstate SC.

Second, I noticed an article in The State paper about "an Horry County substitute teacher gave cocaine to two 14-year-old girls she met at a private school in Longs and used the drugs with them, police say.
The Faith Christian Academy students told school officials that Kim Pike invited them over to her house where they shared some cocaine in April, principal Sylvia Kenney said." That is one of those stories you just shake your head at and ask "what the h*ll is wrong with society today?"

Third, I am really pulling for GT today over Klempson. Sorry to those orange loving fans that may read this blog but I am really hoping that clemson goes 0-2 in the CWS trip.

I stole this from Southern sweetheart but I thought it was really cool. I think I have done a good bit of traveling in my 25 years. Most of it was either for football games or with my parents. Bob-man sure did love to travel, back in the day I thought of it as torture but now I wish I had enjoyed it more, but they did make a lasting impression on my life.

An update of Deuce the "man child Dog"

Here are a couple pictures of him at 6 months, trying to 60 pounds by the end of the month.

All's we need is a 'W'....

And we are on our way to Omaha. Should be a good game tonight and to all USC fans--- We need to have a moment of silence today and ask that the baseball gods grant USC a win tonight in the Super Regional against UGa at 7pm on ESPN. Go Cocks!!!
