Gamecock OG hurt

Senior Lem Jeanpierre, who figured to be in the mix to start at one of the guard spots, will miss the remainder of spring practice because of a right knee injury, according to reports from Coach Spurrier from yesterday.

Jeanpierre had started five games each of the past two seasons. An injury to the same knee cost the converted defensive tackle the second half of last season. He should be back to in time for 2-a-days so he can still be a factor in the fall but this does not help things up front.

Beamer tees it up at Augusta and finishes par for his round

It has been reported that Gamecock Coach Shane Beamer played Augusta National this past weekend and shot par for his round! Lucky bastard! Not for his score but he got to play Augusta.

The catch is he only played one hole - the difficult par-4 10th - then lighting came in and the round was stopped before they could continue. Great job Shane now get back to work!

Horn misses out on Curry

Not sure we had a shot or even if Coach Horn called the kid but I was still hoping we could shock the nation and land Curry. Oh well....

Seth Curry to transfer from Liberty to Duke

Former Gamecock Boyd waived

The Denver Broncos waived former University of South Carolina RB Cory Boyd.

Boyd had been on the practice squad and then got on the active roster but never really got a chance to do anything late in 2008. He made his NFL debut in the Broncos' season finale at San Diego but did not have a touch.

Spring is in the air

To get the fans of LOHD ready for the spring game here in 2 weeks, we will give you a couple guys to look out for this spring game.

Tori Gurley

This received tore up the scout team last year know after enrolling late to Carolina due to some clearing house problems last summer and fall.  This year he has changed his name from Tori Childers to Tori Gurley and he is ready to play.  The 6-5, 227 wide out has become a favorite target of Garcia.  He is a former basketball player at Rock Hill high that had offers to play basketball from Tennessee and UNC.  Most annalist here in Columbia are comparing him to our last high jumping wide out, Sidney Rice.  Let’s hope that Tori can live up to the hype for this spring, next fall.  So on April 11, if number 81 makes a big play, you now won't have to ask, "who is that guy."

USC - All Black Helmets?

What do you guys think...would Carolina switching to a all black helmet look be a good switch???

Could change the culture a little and I have always thought Carolina should use the color black more and more....intimidation factor but that concept goes with winning right....

A fashionable USC helmet: Simply black
