The Cavemen commercials are very fuuny....thumbs up to Geico. They are also creating a pilot for a potential television show featuring the cavemen.

Big Head Barry and the Giants...
Will with a swing of the bat, the MLB season has started this week. One thing to watch for is "Will Bonds break the HR Record?"
Barring injury, it's an unfortunate and foregone conclusion that Bonds will break Henry Aaron's all time home run record at some point this year. I can't help but think it's bad for the game and bad for sports in general that he'll break this record with the cloud of suspicion regarding steroid use hanging over him. I don't wish anything bad to happen but I feel he should step to the side on this quest.
Maybe Bonds used steroids, maybe not. We might never know. But MLB is faced with the prospect of a man presumed guilty breaking one of its most hallowed records. Bonds moved a step closer to Aaron's home run mark Wednesday night, hitting his 735th homer in the first inning of the Giants' 5-3 loss to the Padres.
What do you think of Mr. Bonds, his quest to be HR King and the 'roids?

Get your tix fix...
I read today in the Greenville News that Clemson Tickets for Football will not be going up this year. Article HERE.
All that is nice for CU but it reminded me of a article written by Joseph Person at The State paper, entitled - "USC fans face spiraling prices - School says ‘price for excellence’ includes $40 more for season tickets, new parking fee for boosters." The article appeared a few weeks back and for those with less time on their hands here are the highlights of the article. Seems Gamecock fans will have to pay a "arm and a leg" for tickets and parking. Not to mention the price of gamecock club dues......
"The cost for tickets and parking at South Carolina football games is going up this year for Gamecock Club members.
USC’s Intercollegiate Activities Committee voted to raise season tickets by $40, and agreed to levy a parking fee on Gamecock Club members for the first time. The price of the seven-game, season-ticket package is $320, up from $280 last season and nearly twice the $165 price of tickets in 2004.
The increase is expected to generate $2.2 million, although USC athletics director Eric Hyman said the Gamecocks would continue to rank among the bottom third in the SEC in revenue per seat.
In addition to the ticket increase, Gamecock Club members will pay to park for the first time since the club was founded in the mid-1950s. Fees will range from $75 to $595 per space for the season, based on proximity to Williams-Brice Stadium. RV owners will be asked to shell out $875.
Fans who park in the 750 spaces in the paved lots adjacent to the stadium will have to pay $595 to keep their spots. The 6,200 spaces in the State Fairgrounds lots range between $200 and $260, while the fee for the ETV lots is $420.
Hyman said the school spends about $400,000 a year on football parking, a figure that includes leasing space at the Fairgrounds, hiring Highway Patrol and security personnel and paying for maintenance and portable restrooms.
According to Hyman, the fees could generate $600,000 to $800,000 in revenues. Hyman plans to put the surplus toward the purchase of the State Farmers Market property, which he envisions as a parking oasis with plenty of green space and shuttles that would transport fans to the stadium.
USC has state approval to buy the farmers market for $14.85 million.
The board of trustees also signed off on Hyman’s ticket-pricing philosophy, a four-tiered system based on the quality of the opponent.
The priciest tickets are for Clemson (in odd-numbered years) and Georgia (in even years), which have been designated at the Trustees Scholarship Fund games. USC, which traditionally has put $10 from every Clemson ticket toward academic scholarships, will do the same for the Georgia game. "

For the love of the game...
It is that time of year again.....The Masters....there is nothing like it in Golf. Green is the color of the day and a throw back to old school costumes is appriecated. The best golf tourney in the world. This tourney is the welcoming of Spring and gives every golfer the "itch" to go play a round. All I can say is I can not wait to eat a good easter meal and watch the tourney.
Who do you think will win this year?
In 06...Phil Mickelson won the tournament for the second time in three years, closing with a 3-under 69 for a two-stroke victory over Tim Clark.

the future is in his hands....
Billy Donovan...He is the single, solitary force that has turned Florida into the hottest basketball program in America. The Gators are historic back-to-back champions after an 84-75 dismantling of Ohio State, a win that has made Donovan the single, solitary candidate to take over the most hotly followed and historic basketball program in America, the University of Kentucky.
Kentucky is coming now and Billy Donovan is going to listen because he spent his career waiting for them, working toward them. When he arrived in Lexington as a 24-year-old assistant under Rick Pitino for his first college coaching job, the entire Big Blue experience blew his mind.
But the future is now. Kentucky will break the bank, will offer creative enticements, business opportunities, anything he wants. Florida will match in as many ways as possible. In the end, as absurd as it is to say about a man being wooed by competing $25 to $30 million dollar contracts, it won't be about the money.
So will he go or we he stay? What do you think?

Congrats Cashmoney...
for winning the first annual Leftover Hot Dog - NCAA Tourney Pick'm Challenge!!
He finished with 153 points, 7 better than second place.
Cashmoney got 49 picks out of 63 which got him in the 96th percentile in the overall yahoo fantasy challenge (there was overall 1 million doing the tourney challenge through yahoo this year).
Conrgats to Cashmoney for the win! Thanks to all for playin' and we look to do it again next year!

Another Gator Chomp...
84-75....UF became the first team to go back-to-back since 1992 and the first ever to repeat with the same starting five.
This win completes a 2007 championship-game sweep of the Buckeyes in the two biggest college sports -- men's hoops and football. Florida, a 41-14 winner in the football title game in January, remains the only program in history to hold both championships at the same time. (LOHD saga)
It is a young team....do you think they will 3-peat? They could but those juniors will be off to the NBA and the coach may be gone too but who knows....
