Defensive tackle Ladi Ajiboye has a broken hand, but shouldn't miss much, if any, time when preseason drills begin Aug. 1, defensive line coach Brad Lawing said. ... Eric Norwood is on the watch list for the Ted Hendricks Award, which goes to the nation's top defensive end. Emanuel Cook and Captain Munnerlyn are on the watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award, which goes to the nation's top defensive back.

they are talking about redshirting Travarin robertson this season to let him grow more. Pretty weird considering he played as a true freshman.

Prediction for the season. Akeeme Augusta will make all SEC Freshman team

Ten starters return on a defense that ranked 39 th in the nation last year in points allowed. New defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson, who was hired by Arkansas in January only to leave the Razorbacks later that month for the Gamecocks, will handle play-calling duties. Strong safety Emanuel Cook is a stud in the backfield with Captain. The junior is the team's leading returning tackler with 92 stops and 8. 4 sacks. Everyone in the secondary, that ranked No. 4 in the nation last year in pass defense (168. 8 yards per game ), returns as well. Jasper Brinkley, who returns after a knee injury, will clog up the middle at linebacker. The senior was an All-SEC selection in 2006 after a 107-tackle season. The rushing defense was atrocious in 2007. The defense allowed 209. 3 yards a game and ranked 110 th nationally.

I'll bet anyone a million $ that Norwood won't win the Ted Hendricks Award...
