"(When) I heard the rumors about him leaving to Alabama, Miami, I called him that day," Garcia said. "He told me that he's going nowhere. He wants to win the first SEC championship in South Carolina history and that he wants me to be apart of it. It's going to be very special working with him."

Garcia, who said he told Spurrier and recruiting coordinator David Reaves last week that he was going to commit to USC, said he hopes to graduate in December from Jefferson High School so he can enroll at USC in the spring and "get a head start and hopefully play next year or at least contribute."; Thursday, December 07, 2006 3:49:00 PM
