The University of South Carolina baseball team is ranked No. 3 in the USA Today/ESPN preseason coaches’ poll released this morning.
The Gamecocks, who were 46-20 a year ago, were also No. 2 in Collegiate Baseball’s preseason poll.
Arizona State was No. 1 in the coaches’ poll followed by North Carolina. Rice and Arizona round out the top five in the poll, which includes four Southeastern Conference teams.
Vanderbilt is No. 6, Mississippi No. 8 and Mississippi State is tied at No. 23 with Clemson University.
