Go Cocks!
Since 2005, LOHD has worked to bring you all the Gamecocks sports info you need concerning THE University of South Carolina while mixing in the occasional tailgating story along the way or other mindless pieces of information. The LOHD blog is your independent source for Gamecock news.

1st of many to come... we are going to beat the fuck out of them for years to come!
South Carolina rallied from 14 down at Clemson to beat the Tigers 31-28. The last time a visiting team came from that far back at Clemson was Duke in 1989.
I mention this only because Steve Spurrier was the coach who pulled off both comebacks...I Danny was coaching.
i thought you were dead danny?
Hey Danny Ford, let's look at Why Clemson lost...mistake one was putting Davis and not Merriweather in at the end since CJ was hurt (Reggie was on fire). Second mistake was when the CU offense facing a third down just outside the 10-yard line. South Carolina showed blitz, but neither Will Proctor nor Bowden called timeout to get out of a bad play call. The Tigers had all three timeouts remaining. Proctor was sacked and then Jad Dean missed the potential game-tying field goal. The Clemson staff seemed to be coaching the final minutes as if it was afraid to lose the game, not ready to win it. Last mistake was Bowden, simply out coached the entire game. Besides 3 'big' plays there was not much else to the CU O-fence and the D-fence gave up a heck of a lot of yards / plays / time of possession. Only bright spot was 3 INT's. Danny you need to have a sit down with Bowden.
also we get the Hardees Trophy...you would think they could have a better name for the trophy.
Duke did beat clemson in 1989, but it was in Durham. This past game was Spurrier's first win at Memorial Stadium.
