Blame it on pitching...again. UT got 3 HRs that lead to 8 runs. The 4th inning was disaster due to USC giving up 6 runs. Carolina just could not come back from that hole they dug.
Tennessee improves its record to 22-27 and 8-17 in the SEC while the loss drops Carolina to 30-19 and 12-13 in league play. The two teams meet in game two on Saturday afternoon with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
