That list has a shockingly large number of movies I wouldn't mind seeing. Usually there are weeks at a time where there is nothing I want to see in the theater. Should be a good summer.

Summer blockbuster: Shrek, Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean. Lots of others have a chance to make big money i.e., Spiderman; Bourne; Simpsons; Ocean's 13; die Hard.

All of the front runners for most gross are part of a series. All of their predecessor movies did exceedingly well:

All time domestic:

30. Shrek $268 million
3. Shrek 2 $441 million

22. Pirates (Black Pearl) $305 mil
6. Pirates (II) $423 mil

17. HP (Sorcerer's Stone)$318 mil
31. HP (Chamber Secrets) $262 mil
39. HP (Azkaban) $250 mil
26. HP (Goblet of Fire) $290 mil

Also, everybody can see them: adults like and they are ok for children.

Anybody give me odds on these three vs. the field??
