A little humor this Thursday...

Hurricane Names......Well, it appears our African American friends have found something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston) reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian-sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as "Chamiqua, Woeisha, and Jamal. "

I can hear it now: A weatherman in Houston saying... "Wordup, Muthas! Herr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo'Galveston like Leroy on a crotch rocket! Bitch be a category fo'! So,turn off dem chitlins, grab yo' chirren, leave yo crib, and head fo' de nearest FEMA office fo yo FREE shit!"

***Editor's Note---Please note the writers of LOHD are not racist, just find humor in life and sometimes the "race card" issue can cause comedy.

Aren't hurricanes named by the people who track them at the National Weather Center? I wonder what the ethnic makeup of that office is? I have always thought we could be more creative with hurricane names. But, personally, I don't want something causing millions of dollars of damage and deaths named for me!?!

I say we name all hurricanes after cartoon characters so they don't sound so scary. Like Hurricane sponge bob, or Hurricane Donald duck. See that isn't so bad. Or my other idea to help the brothers out is name hurricanes after failed music groups, such as Hurricane MC hammer, live from Miami, as hurricane MC hammer is to legit go quit. Ok that was pretty bad but how about Hurricane Swiss beats, oh yeah

well i think the hurricane names are more latino sounding than white. How many white men you know named Alberto, Ernesto, or how about that bastard Hugo. nope sure dont. But I would like them to keep the names this year, not that I want people to die or lose crap but Hurricane William is going kick a lot of ass, if we can make it there.
