The new baseball stadium is nearing completion, so on the way to the Auburn game I got a few pictures taken. The season starts February 21, a Saturday, against Duquesne at 2 p.m. (Schedule) Undoubtedly, the Yardcocks should be able to pack the stadium again this year. Apparently, the last couple of years the Gamecocks have been in the top ten in baseball attendance. Despite all the work, the stadium remains unnamed. Some here at Leftover Hot Dog have suggested The Ray. Thoughts?

it is good to have the general back...where you been?
good stuff general, can't wait to see the yardcocks playing in the Ray.
A lot of crimson in the stadium. Too bad the color is supposed to be garnet.
It looks pretty garnet to me
the crimson was done to make a case for smelley to stay but that fell through
Haha! It doesn't even have a name yet, so I'm sure we could have figured something out that he would have liked. oh well...
But anyway, my understanding is that garnet is actually somewhere purple and crimson. Though this is pretty close to what we normally use, it is still embarassing when tags on official t-shirts say crimson or cardinal.
