Well in the latest CBS Football News Bowl Projections it has the Univ of South Carolina matched-up against the Univ of Texas in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2nd in Dallas.
ESPN has a different take - here - with SC slated to go either to the Liberty bowl or the Music City Bowl depending on who you believe.
Do you agree with the predictions above?
I personally hope it shakes out that S. Carolina goes to the Cotton bowl or the Peach bowl ... but first we must conquer Kentucky's Defense on Saturday.

The Cotton bowl would be awesome for the Gamecocks and us fans but I see two big flaws in CBS's picks for this to happen.
1. they have Vandy & Wake playing in the peach bowl which I doubt the peach bowl officails would go for since that would be a rematch of the last game that each team played.
2. The cotton bowl usually likes to pick teams from the west because of closer ties to the region.

Gray this actually is better thought out and more likely than you make it out to be... it’s also better scripted than your sequel to "Team America World Police"... In that scenario two west teams would be BCS bound LSU and Bama… The next best west team would be Auburn who will no way or how get a cotton bowl bid.... Chick Fila does not get a choice before the cotton... so they would be stuck with Vandy should the only flaw occur... that would be the Outback getting Florida for a salivating match up against the fighting zooks....However, should we beat Florida this is very possible…. UGA goes Capital One and we get the Cotton… but we can only dream…
