crazy story


First of all, let me say that I don't watch hockey, but if this happened more often I might. Did anybody else see this story from the other night? This guy is lucky to be alive.

Could this be true??? This is an insert from an article written by Dick Vitale in todays USA Today.

• Everyone asks me if I am shocked Bob Knight stepped down at Texas Tech. Absolutely not. He told me he would know when it was time to pass the baton to his son Pat. Just a sidebar, though. Something tells me he will be back on the sideline if the right situation turns up. If I were South Carolina and had a vacancy coming up with the retirement of Dave Odom, I would find Knight's number. Can you imagine Steve Spurrier and Knight at the same school? There would be excitement galore like you couldn't believe. I think Knight has 10 years left, a la Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden. And I think he could take the Gamecocks to the level that their fans crave so badly.
