Dave gets a 'boo' as the Gamecocks lose

Seems the fans grew a little restless on Saturday night, they gave Dave-y Odom a ear full. There was a smattering of boos during pre-game introductions. As USC fell further behind one fan yelled, “Dinosaur” while another shouted, “Nice game plan, Odom.” And as the game drew to an end a brief chant of “Go, Dave, Go!” sprang up.

It was the worst loss of the year for USC, which had a season low in points as well as field goals (19) while shooting just 37.3 percent, the second lowest of the year. USC also had 17 turnovers, which led to 22 points for the Volunteers.

So much for Odom’s goal of improving USC’s record in the SEC, especially at home, as USC (8-8) started the SEC 0-2 for the third straight year. Oh...the score...well it was 80-56 and UT left the building with a easy win.

More on the game - HERE - but you are probably getting like us and looking more and more forward to the start of USC baseball.

p.s. It wasn't just a smattering of boos when Coach O was introduced, it was a full out assault, at least in the student section's first four rows at mid-court. It's time to pack your bags Dave. Walk away while you still can.

I'd also like to say it was a shame they threw out the kid who yelled "Prince Eats Ass!" I mean, there were so few Carolina fans in the place by that point and at least he was insulting the other team.

This is from the charlotte business journal. He should never be allowed to announce our specualte on any of our games or any games in which the team plays Clemson. Analysts are supposed to be unbiased. What a crock of a reporter.

"college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit was expected to set aside his red Ohio State duds while in Charlotte today and sport a Clemson Tiger jacket, courtesy of WFNZ's Mark Packer.

Herbstreit is the speaker at The Hood Hargett Breakfast Club, with the event emceed by local sports radio's Packman, whose blood runs orange.

Herbstreit, a frequent guest on Packer's show, has often "talked about how much he loved Clemson," Packer says.

The football pundit even took it upon himself to give pep talks to the Tigers on air. Sadly, Clemson ended the year with a loss at the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta on New Year's Eve.
