Kevin Kolb (pronounced "cob") is the QB at Houston. He is my sleeper pick thus far in the season. It all depends on if he can lead his team to a "W" against OSU and Miami. If so, move over Andre Ware and let's go ahead and start counting the ballots. His career statistics are insane -- 10,035 passing yards; 60 touchdowns; 60-percent completion percentage; 10,632 yards of total offense. He has claimed nearly every school passing record, joining David Klingler and Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware as program legends.
Who else is in the running thus far for the Heisman you ask? ESPN is saying....

- Adrian Peterson, RB, Okla
- Steve Slaton, RB, WVU
- Troy Smith, RB, WVU

ReplyDeleteKevin Kolb is a good QB at a bad football school; he doesn't get the media hype to win. I have to agree with the shaker and say either Troy from The Criminal State or the WVU running back. Kid compares to Reggie in a lot of ways.
ReplyDeleteThe Criminal State...I like it. Slaton does compare to Reggie's quickness and elusiveness, but he has one thing that Reggie never had - he does not skirt out of bounds at the first sign of an impending hit.

Just as long as it not Quinn....is anyone other than me tired of hearing about the great Notre Dame?? They pulled it out this weekend by the skin of their teeth and instead of saying how could of a number 12 team almost lose that bad to Michigan State, the announcers were praising Notre Dame's ability to come from behind! It is getting on my nerves!
